Why there are strange prices on Cyprus? Entering museum: 1.7 euro, paphos old town: 3.4 euro?

it is all due to joining eurozone. When Cyprus accessed euro zone most of institutions converted Cyprus pound to circa 1.7 euro.
So, previously entrance to Curioum was 1 pound, now it is 1.7 euro. And so on....
